NAGA BRASS ARM BANGLES

Length 16 cm, diameter 8cm approx.  These bangles could be stretched out and tightened or loosened as they are really springs. We love those decorated trumpet ends, possibly stylised lotus flowers.  I would suggest anyone takes a look online at Naga traditional self adornment, these bangles are the least of decorative bangles made of ivory, bone and brass and necklaces and headwear of teeth, tusks, beads and images of the heads once taken by Naga warriors.  Past history now in a spectacularly beautiful part of India where Christian missionaries over nearly 200 hundred years have done their best to destroy local culture which is now being revived for the tourist trade.  £69
