CHIESE NAILGUARDS

We have not done anything about the missing brooch pin on the back of this rather wonderful nailguard. Have a look at photographs of the Dowager Empress Cixi and imagine what it must have been like to wear one on every finger.  They do usually appear now with brooch fittings but why on earth would you wear this as a brooch, hideous, when you could wear it as the most astonishing ring , well actually a nailguard.  We have left the brooch fittings but they could easily be removed if required.  As it is the piece is a story in itself, an extraordinary but everyday ornament of not so far distant history, re-purposed once and now perhaps  again to be worn more or less as originally intended.  We are looking for a pair of your own personal silver chopsticks to add to the look. £165
