An 18ct gold and diamond set buckle ring, size J-K

This stunning ring is wonderfully comfortable to wear and beautifully made - it is 18 carat but with no makers mark although it is clearly hand made and we have not had the diamond weight checked.  This could be done but we suspect the whole design sells itself and the diamonds are part of that rather than of particular importance on their own - they certainly sparkle.  The design is very similar to a Van Cleef and Arpel buckle design of the late 1940s or early 50s and sits well on the hand, Van Cleef designs are of course much copied. The ring may have been reduced in size as some stage which might have damaged any marks existing to the back. £820
