A proper Children’s Dinner service

A Ridgways ‘Humphreys Clock’ dolls china part dinner service (Not all!)

Humphreys Clock pattern depicts scenes from Charles Dickens’ stories, taken from Master Humphrey’s Clock, a weekly illustrated journal written entirely by Dickens. It consisted of original stories, and, eventually, the serialisation of The Old Curiosity Shop and Barnaby Rudge. Ridgway & Co used scenes from the stories in a complete range of wares introduced in the 1840s and, later, a miniature toy range.

Individual pieces of this range can be found on eBay but we suspect that this set, as it stands, will keep the grandest doll happy at Christmas.
